Ali Hamed is the CEO at Contribut‐E, a company that plans to launch its beta in February, and use innovative business models and technology to fundraise for social causes. He is also the managing director and founder of AH Consulting, which focuses on business strategy consulting for tech companies working across borders. At Cornell University Ali is taking the co‐lead in founding the Cornell Social Venture Fund, and is a sophomore undergraduate student. Before co‐founding Contribut‐E Ali served as president and co‐founder of Memsparx Inc., a software company that focused on cleaning up news‐media platforms. During that time, he also worked as the marketing director for The Soft Serve Fruit Co. and played on the varsity baseball team at Cornell.
Savneet Singh, Golden Bullion, CEO
Mr. Singh was an investment analyst at Chilton Investment Company where he covered investments in the technology, alternative energy and infrastructure space. Prior to Chilton, Mr. Singh was at Morgan Stanley in the investment banking division where he worked on large financial sponsor and strategic company transactions. Mr. Singh received his B.S. in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University and currently serves on the boards of Ecologic Solutions and Stiki Digital.
Arthur Soroken, TheCom.it, CEO
Before co‐founding MADathletic, Inc. Arthur was the lead Sales Engineer at Cisco Systems, supporting the largest telecommunications provider in the U.S. Although Arthur has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from U.C. Davis, technology is not his only passion. Arthur was a Division 1 wrestler during his undergraduate career and he is now pursuing his MBA at Cornell University. Today, Arthur is currently the CEO of TheCom.it, a startup that provides user feedback to alpha stage tech companies.
Irving Fain, CrowdTwist, CEO
Irving is the CEO & Co‐founder of CrowdTwist, a NYC‐based social loyalty and rewards platform which helps brands increase sales and engagement in an increasingly cross‐platform world. Prior to founding CrowdTwist, Irving ran Digital Marketing & Social Platforms for Clear Channel Radio Digital, developing and implementing an online marketing and social strategy for 1,000+ radio stations. Prior to that role he led the Content Team, creating fresh content and experiences for artists and advertisers to get noticed amongst the myriad of programming online. Irving knows first‐hand the challenges of developing programs which create lasting engagement and is excited to lead a company which can drive change quickly in the rapidly developing social loyalty space. Prior to his life as a media entrepreneur, Irving wore a suit everyday in the world of finance. He spenttime both as a venture investor here in New York as well as an investment banker, specializing in raising capital for early stage companies. He holds a B.A. from Brown University. Joe Essenfeld, JIBE, CEO
Joe Essenfeld is the CEO of JIBE, the first and fastest‐growing social recruiting platform. JIBE uses social connections to link its users to employment opportunities. Before that, Joe served as the COO of Insomnia Cookies, and as the president of Your Lifestyle technology—which provided executives with “whiteglove” technology support for their home and office. Joe started his career as the director of operations for NightFunk, and as the Vice President for Dartcor Management Services.
Reece Pacheco, Shelby.tv, CEO
Reece Pacheco is the CEO and founder of Shelby.tv. Before that he was the CEO and founder of TeamHomeField.com, for which he was accepted into TechStars, one of the United States’ premier financial incubators. Early in his career, Reece also served as an Assistant Director at Tango Pix and as a Director’s Assistant at Dreamworks. Reece has earned degrees from Bucknell and Brown University, and as an athlete, played major league lacrosse for the Boston Cannons.
Peter Cortle, Life Chaging Apparel, CEO
Peter Cortle is the CEO and creative director of Life Changing Apparel LLC (LCA) which he founded at 20‐years old. LCA is the world's first 'social' streetwear brand that empowers youths to create global change without compromising style. With every purchase made, LCA provides one child in need with clean water. Currently, there are LCA Crews established on 17 campuses with 60+ members helping to spread the brand’s message and movement. Peter has spoken in front of hundreds of students about his experience starting a brand with over $30,000 in student loans. His list of appearances spans several universities including University of Washington, Cornell University, and Tufts University. A budding philanthropist, Peter also runs a non‐profit called Signature Donations having been recently named director for the organization.
